Opera House Pub in Elwood

Best place to eat in Elwood that I know of.

Had a wonderful meal!

They were SO friendly. They fixed me up with a grilled tenderloin sandwich and it was truly the best one I've had.

Wonderful food and service would recommend to anyone.

Love this place. We had ribeye steak baked potato and salad. It all was delicious.

We try to go once a week. The pork chops are amazing with tator tots and their fresh chowder.

This is an update from a 3 star visit a few months ago, to nailing it with a 5 star visit this past week. I had the Reuben again & this time, from the service & attitude to the presentation & taste, they nailed it.

Wanted bb ribs...was sold out..service was fine..food was good.

Stoped in there to eat today, and I was very disappointed!! The the waitress was nice, but the service was very poor. We ordered 2 Wolf's Beef Manhattans. Now what we were served was definitely not a Wolf's Manhattan, because it looked nor tasted nothing like a real Manhattan from Wolf's Bar! I have had them enough times to know the difference, and believe me it's a huge difference! Make it like it was or don't advertise it as A Wolfs because that's false advertising! What I ate looked like chicken and the potatoes were lumpy and nasty and there was not much flavor at all. I was very disappointed!

I've only eaten at the Opera House once before today and today I got the Lunch Chicken Salad with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions and croutons. The service was super slow even though they were not busy. The help spent more time talking to each other than waiting on customers.

We went today for lunch. I had a half order of beef Manhatten (and I couldn't eat it all). It was very good. My hubs had two grilled pork chops (which he asked for without rosemary) and fries. Equally amazing. For a starter I had the potato soup. Nom. We will be back. Prices are great. Services from Holly was excellent. We will be back.

Great food

So I tried the Opera House Pub for the first time. I was extremely impressed with the food. I had the potato crusted fish with mashed potatoes and sauteed cabbage. I wasnt even that hungry and i cleaned my plate. Its also nice to see businesses using the historical buildings in town instead of just letting them fall down. The only thing i didnt like about the place is the atmosphere. Its a very large open building and the have it painted all white and it was very quit with no pricacy and it just doesn't look very inviting. However I highly recommend this place if only to check out all the old historical pictures from Elwood that line the walls.

Great atmosphere, great service and food!

Lunch with wifey mid-week was amazing. Don't remember the name of the sandwich that I got, but it came with a huge breaded, fried hunk of cheese in it and it was delicious. Wifey wasn't happy with her roast beef in gravy over thick toast and mashed potatoes, but I think it's probably a Midwest style she wasn't expecting. Sandwich was top notch though, and the fries were excellent

Country fried steak was outstanding and the onion rings are perfect.

True hidden gem..been there 9 times 9 awesome meals...if you are passing thru..you have to try it

Air-conditioning broken, no toilet paper in the women's bathroom, didn't have mashed potatoes ready & said it would be an hour before they would be. Service is extremely slow. Not impressed at all!

Excellent service and excellent food. I had the big gus burger and it was fantastic!

Great food, fair price and friendly service. Really interesting pictures on the walls. Gotta see them for yourself.

Love this place...my husband grew up working in this building so we go here a lot...but the food is really good plus the amount of options they have for beer on tap any given day

I have been here before and had good food. Today we had nachos with no jalapeno peppers, a gyro with no onion, and a new pulled pork sandwich with no bacon. Quality is way down.
